Welcome to Wood Badge  - Spring 2010 - SR-1017

Greetings fellow Scouters,   I would like to thank you for volunteering your time, knowledge and passion as an adult leader in America’s foremost youth character building organization.  This year the BSA proudly celebrates its 100th anniversary of positively impacting the character of our nation.  Scouting’s success over the last century could not have happened without the dedication of countless Scouters just like you. 

The BSA has a long tradition of providing training to help you with your job as a leader. Hopefully you have already taken advantage of the basic and specific trainings available for your scout leader position and since you are reading this, you may be considering the next step… Wood Badge for the 21st Century. 

 I would like to encourage you to invest the time and money toward this worthwhile endeavor.  It is a decision that will not only prove to benefit you personally by improving your leadership skills, but is vital for the future of Scouting during the next century.
